Salary: GBP22,000 per year + bonus
Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30-5:30pm
Location: Harrogate

The Role

Our client requires an ambitious, self-driven and motivated Supply Chain Planner to join their team where you will be working in a fast-paced and ever changing environment.

Your main duties will be to lead the demand planning function within their Amazon team. This will include managing and supporting the supply chain, forecasting and overall demand planning needs of the company and its Vendors.

The planner is responsible for the placement and maintenance of orders, managing safety stock requirements, and the analysis and management of Vendor forecasts.

The candidate's duties play a crucial role in the continued success and provision of excellent service of the company to Amazon (their client). You will be promoting the company in your daily responsibilities with your impeccable customer service through both phone calls, and emails with customers and vendors.

You will be self-motivated to effectively manage your workload, achieve objectives, develop internal processes, reports and systems.

This role would suit somebody of a Graduate calibre or someone looking to break into the industry to work towards developing a long and successful career.

Key Responsibilities

Analyse historical demand and trends and use latest customer or market intelligence to construct a forecast that can be used to support the raising of Purchase Orders
Interpret and validate customer intake and forecast plans to ensure Purchase Orders are raised in line with actual requirements
Communicate with sales teams and management to ensure weekly updates of potential issues
Produce and communicate accurate customer and vendor stock, sales & forecast reports
Ensure customer stock and sales reports are reviewed and any open customer or CMS purchase orders are amended as required to ensure that the customer or CMS is not over/under stocked
Highlight any consumer stock issues in a timely manner to ensure that aged stock is kept to a minimum and ensure timely identification and movement of surplus plant stock
Generate and seek approval of purchase orders, placement and progression of purchase orders
Proactive communication of up to date delivery and supply information through use of internal systems and email
Proactively working with vendors and customers to identify shortages and potential out of stocks
Take and communicate appropriate actions and measures to minimise disruption to the business and to maximise customer service levels
Always act as an ambassador and representative of CMS Distribution to ensure a professional image for the Company. Actively contribute and act as a role model to the CMS values
Use all CMS resources and departments to maximise the customer's experience
