As a Student Packaging Developer, your role will be to support the team in developing new packaging or artwork concepts and modifying existing concepts. You will be reviewing the structure and design in line with written briefs to meet our customers' needs.

You will contribute to packaging or artwork brainstorms to create new solutions which complement food innovation and maximise competitor advantage
Work alongside our purchasing team where appropriate to source, revise and develop new packaging or artwork concepts
Work with suppliers to translate your concepts into robust, viable commercial packaging or artwork solutions
Work with your team to design packaging or artwork in line with customer briefs and corporate social responsibility briefs and ensuring that samples are available in line with planned timelines
Source samples and cost of off the shelf packaging or artwork in line with Greencore specifications and sourcing policies to support the NPD programme
Present the packaging or artwork elements at feasibility meeting to verify the suitability of packaging or artwork going into a manufacturing environment
Attend customer submissions, as required, to present new packaging or artwork concepts in alignment with the product submissions
Consult on factory trials, ensuring that packaging is fit for purpose whilst considering efficiently of the processJob DescriptionYou may not have heard of us, but we're sure you've tried our products. This role sits within our Prepared Meals business unit and can be based out of either our Kiveton or Wisbech site.

Our site in Kiveton employs over 600 and is the largest quiche bakery, producing more than 42 million quiche each year along with a wide range of ready meals and soups. At our Wisbech site, we work with over 450 colleagues to produce Italian Prepared Meals for some of the most well known retailers in the UK.

This is a really unique and exciting opportunity for any students that are looking to gain experience in food packaging. This is a 12 month FTC and is suitable for students looking for a placement as part of their degree, or a recent graduate that's keen to start their career in packaging. What we're looking for
A keen interest in developing a career within food packaging
This role is suitable for a student looking for a 12 month placement as part of a sandwich degree or a recent graduate with a relevant degree
A design background and familiarity with Adobe design packages
An understanding of packaging would be advantageous but we're happy to share our knowledge!
Comfortable in a fast paced environment
Good attention to detail
