How to maintain cabinets, cable and the commissioning and testing of onsite equipment
How to work with Optical Fibre -Cable preparation, splicing, & testing.
How to work with various Copper Cable's.
How to install and test the latest Telecoms equipment in various locations across the UK Road Network.
How to work in a Motorway environment
The imperative Health & Safety in place for dangerous working environments.
How to attend Roadside Cabinets and deal with equipment faults or issues.
How to work in a large variety of environments; outdoors, at heights and in confined spaces.
How to work within a highly skilled, UK wide field force focussed on customer delivery and technical expertise

The Specifics:

The apprenticeship is 2 years in duration
On completion of the scheme you will have a Level 3 qualification as an infrastructure Technician
You will also gain industry recognised vendor certifications
On completion you will be a fully qualified Telent field engineer and can integrate into the full-time workforce
The apprenticeship is a managed scheme with a mix between apprenticeship portfolio work, classroom & virtual classroom learning, onsite shadowing and vendor exams.

What will you need?

Have 5 GCSE's Grade 9-4 (A* -C) and this must include Maths and English
Have a Full UK driving licence with 1-year driving experience
Be 18 years of age from September 2020
Be able to pass government vetting and police Security Clearance
