Purpose and Objectives of the role:
  • The purpose of the Used Car Analyst Assistant is to support the Group Used Car team in ensuring our dealerships are adhering to all processes
  • Convert data into meaningful information that we can utilise operationally to improve our systems and processes
  • Provide daily reports and Ad Hoc information to key Group Used Car stakeholders - ensuring deadlines are met, and information provided is 100% accurate

Key accountabilities:
  • In order to succeed in this role it is expected that you will:
  • Produce, develop and analyse daily reports, feeding results and recommendations to the appropriate party
  • Manage and control our group pricing tool, suggesting tweaks up and down to our used car pricing strategy to maximise profit and increase our sales rate
  • Manage and maintain the Purchase Price Checker, adjusting the parameters based on the results it yields to maximise our return on investment
  • To carry out ad-hoc duties as and when required
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the business, market and new products
  • Role will be a success if candidate is completely absorbed in our Used Car Programme, so that their recommendations are received from a position of understanding and experience.
  • To facilitate this full training will be provided and the expectation to travel and work with people from across our business
  • Report to Group Used Car Analyst primarily based in Derby

Future prospects

The role itself is a transformative position. Upon completion the company are looking to progress the successful apprentice into a permanent position. This will involve gaining exposure around different departments and opportunities to develop further. The role will naturally develop as the company develops.

Things to consider

Please note: The salary for this position is incentivized and will increase to £15,500 during your time on your apprenticeship dependent on your succession and progression.
