Data Quality Apprentice

University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust has an excellent opportunity for a motivated and ambitious individual to join our Performance and Information team as a Data Quality Apprentice, working towards completion of a Customer Service Apprenticeship qualification.

The key responsibilities of this role are to work with the Information Team and with the RTT Validator. You will be required to assist with the management and distribution of various data quality reports to ensure information contained within the patient's electronic record is accurate and up-to-date. You will be responsible for ensuring that the appropriate GP details are on the patient administration system every month and to ensure the correct commissioner is assigned for income purposes. Other key tasks include supporting the Data Quality Steering Group, and communicating with services lines across the organisation to ensure the patients electronic record is managed effectively from a data quality perspective.

The post holder should have an accurate eye for detail, good organisational skills and to be able work either alone or as part of a team. It is also essential for the successful candidate to demonstrate compassion, respect and commitment to learning. This post will give the successful applicant an opportunity to learn the skills associated with business administration and data quality within a large organisation, whilst studying for a nationally recognised qualification which may be a gateway to further career opportunities within the NHS.

For an informal chat, please contact Rob Tischhauser (Senior Business Intelligence Developer).
