We are looking to recruit a highly motivated, flexible and keen multi-skilled craftsman to join our Estates department providing carpentry maintenance services to a large hospital and associated properties.

You should have completed a recognised building trade apprenticeship and have experience within a busy building environment. Duties will include carrying out maintenance, testing and repair in a wide range of departments across the hospital property.

Applicants should have a good all round ability and must be capable of working on their own initiative to undertake planned and reactive maintenance along with general maintenance duties within the hospital environment including repairs to a wide range of equipment, including:- fire doors, windows, walls, furniture, false ceiling repairs/replacement and decoration

Current hours are 37.5 per week Monday to Friday; Annual Leave entitlement is 27 days plus bank holidays increasing to 33 days after 10 years' service.

Please note: if this job requires you to have a DBS check to enable you to properly fulfil the requirements of the job, on appointment you will be required to repay the cost of obtaining a DBS check and this amount will be reclaimed from your salary.
