It is situated in the middle of the South West Region with easy access to the countryside and coast of Devon and Cornwall. It is well served by rail, road and air links. Good educational facilities such as the University of Exeter and good Ofsted rated schools are available locally. Our Community sites are equally well positioned and are a good place to work.

Could you be part of the incredible success story at the Exeter COVID-19 vaccination site?

The roll-out of the COVID vaccination programme has been an amazing achievement by the NHS as a whole and by the staff and volunteers of our Trust here in Devon.

This time last year there was no vaccine approved for use against COVID-19. Now the UK is already using three, and we opened the large public vaccination centre in Exeter in January. In less than 6 months over 90,000 vaccine doses have been given, first at our vaccination site at the Westpoint Arena and now at our new home at Greendale business park.

This new purpose-built site is already vaccinating walk-through patients, but it is also planned to commence a 'drive-through' service shortly.

We need registered HCPs to help drive the vaccination programme on and deliver the approved vaccines to younger age groups.

We are seeking additional HCPs to join the team to continue the good work of the programme.

We operate over seven days a week and our shift patterns are 8am -12pm, 8am - 4pm, 12pm - 4pm, 12pm - 8pm, 4pm - 8pm or 8am - 8pm.

We are offering a variety of contracts subject to your availability - Bank, Fixed Term or Secondments from your current NHS role (FTC/Secondments to 30th September 21(subject to further review).)

As aCOVID-19 RHCPyou will be responsible for:

Conducting pre-vaccination clinical assessments.
Reviewing patient medical histories and any potential adverse reactions.
Ensuring the best possible clinical outcomes by using up-to-date skills and adhering to policies and procedures.
And as and when required:

Preparing the vaccine prior to administration by using aseptic technique.
Dilution and drawing up of the vaccine from multi-dose vials.
Setting up the vaccination station.
Thank you, we look forward to hearing from you.

(This is a Bank position. For current NHS Employees this post could be a secondment opportunity.)

Our vision is to provide safe, high quality seamless services delivered with courtesy and respect. To achieve our vision we expect all our staff to uphold our Trust values. Our Trust values are:

Honesty, Openness & Integrity
