Exciting Secondment / Fixed Term Contract Opportunity

Operations Manager, Band 7

Full time - flexible working requests and alternative hours will be considered

Based at various sites across central Bristol.

Do you think you could help us?

The COVID vaccination programme in Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire is continuing at pace. To date we have been successful in vaccinating 55% of the region's population so we have some way to go.

In response to our ongoing commitment to ensuring every citizen has access to the vaccination we are expanding operations across the region. As a result, we seek talented Operations Managers who will play a key role in driving the uptick of the vaccination as we focus on the remaining age groups and drawing the programme to successful completion.

The Operations Manager is responsible for promoting the vision and values of the BNSSG vaccination programme, leading by example and ensuring that they demonstrate those values in their leadership behaviours and how we support our teams and deliver our services.

The Operations Manager is responsible for supporting delivery of the key elements of the vaccination programme within a designated area of responsibility.
  • Lead on the planning, development and delivery of multi-site vaccination services to ensure that there is a common understanding of capacity and demand with clear operational plans to deliver the programme in the most appropriate settings.
  • Planning and managing services to ensure the best possible use of resources.
  • Leading the development of a sustainable workforce that is fit to deliver the vaccination programme. Ensuring review of workforce models in line with national recommendations and changing needs to the delivery models
  • The Operations Manager will be responsible for all aspects of operational performance within their allocated area whilst maintaining quality standards and for ensuring the implementation and maintenance of good governance arrangements.

Working pattern:
  • Full time - will consider flexible hours
  • Secondment - if internal

We need to fill these roles, and fast, so it would be ideal if you could start as soon as possible. These are fixed term opportunities and likely to be 4-6 months in duration.

We aim to respond to your application within 10 days.
