About the apprenticeship

Duties

• Support the ROCKWOOL Commercial, Specification, HVAC, Fire and Merchant teams strategy, through effective management of the ROCKSELL CRM system, incoming project support forms, technical leads and self-generated project opportunities to identify sales opportunities at any stage of construction.
• Act as the key interface between ROCKWOOL Commercial, Specification, HVAC, Fire and Merchant teams to ensure that projects are bought to a mutually beneficial conclusion or next step.
• Administer pricing and logging of pricing, on behalf of the commercial team via distributors and contractors to ensure sales are completed in a timely manner.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the newly created ROCKWOOL Inside Sales team as an apprentice.
If you want the opportunity to work in a fast paced, varied and challenging sales role, supporting the wider ROCKWOOL commercial and specification teams in identifying, researching, working and developing project opportunities at any construction stage with key Supply Chain partners, contractors and distributors across the business, to enable achievement of the overall number.

With an outgoing personality, ability to communicate at all levels from Architects to brickwork contractors and discuss the ROCKWOOL product portfolio with prospective and established customers. The role would suit someone happy to be making outgoing phone calls, emails and potential face to face meetings. We are looking for a candidate who can help grow the support the Inside Sales team provides to the UK Specification and Commercial teams.

• Passed GCSE's with a minimum of “C” in maths and English

Who can apply?

To be eligible to apply you:

  • will be at least 16 years of age at the time of making your application
  • will not be in full-time education (you can apply while still attending school/college/university but will have finished or intend to finish your studies by the time your apprenticeship starts)
  • will need to meet the Civil Service Nationality requirements to apply.

ALS eligibility

Please note that ALS our training providers have their own eligibility in order to provide the funding required to undertake an apprenticeship. You may not be eligible to apply if:

  • you already hold a qualification at Level 3 or above in ICT, Software, Web and Telecoms or a similar subject
  • you already hold a qualification at Level 3 or above in Business Administration, Customer Service or a similar subject

What are the benefits?  

How much will I be paid?

You will earn £19,240 a year while training. When you pass your apprenticeship you can apply for a permanent job at the Welsh Government. Within 2 years of starting your apprenticeship you could be earning £22,500. 

You will get 31 days holidays as well as 10 public and privilege days. We offer flexible working arrangements to help you get the right work/life balance. You will also be eligible for membership of the Civil Service Pension Scheme
