Are you ready for the next step in your career namely developing our future Pharmacy workforce alongside your own leadership and clinical skills? If the answer is yes - we would love to have you join us for this exciting opportunity as the Lead Pharmacy Technician for Education and Development at East Sussex NHS Healthcare Trust.

We are looking for a dynamic person to lead the education, training and continuing professional development of all Pharmacy technical and support staff in the Trust. You will lead, manage and administer the apprenticeship training for pharmacy technicians and assistants in the Trust. You will support the development of members of the wider multidisciplinary team within the trust. This role will provide a unique opportunity to build relationships with stakeholders both within the trust and nationally to develop training programmes in line with national requirements.

We are committed to working with our prescribers and nursing colleagues to help deliver the best care for patients and we actively support pharmacists and technicians in developing the skills needed to play a part in this multi-disciplinary team. You will be required to provide a clinical pharmacy service to the wards across ESHT, maintaining your own clinical skills.

This post is ideally full-time (37.5 hours per week) but part-time hours and job shares will be considered.

To support seven day working, pharmacy staff work Saturdays, Sundays and Bank holidays on a rotational basis. The post holder would be expected to join this rota.

The successful candidate will hold UK professional registration with the GPhC as a pharmacy technician and have experience of tutoring and mentoring staff.
