Are you an enthusiastic education leader ready for a new challenge?

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the newly formed Practice Development Team to lead, develop and manage the implementation of our practice education priorities, which are to expand placement capacity throughout our Allied Health teams across North Cumbria.

The successful candidate will be joining an award winning team comprising

26 staff, consisting of Practice Development Leads for clinical skills, apprenticeships and preceptorship, Practice Education Facilitators, Clinical Education Coordinators and administrative staff. The Practice Development team support staff and learners in developing essential skills required in practice and support high quality clinical placements for pre-registration students and apprentices. The team will also include several Clinical Educators from 2021.

We have a unique opportunity for an experienced and motivated HCPC registered professional who is passionate about pre-registration education to join the team as a Practice Education Facilitator.

We expect you to have a clear commitment to the education of healthcare professionals and possess excellent leadership, communication, change management and organisational skills. You must also have the ability to inspire and enthuse a wide range of allied health staff and students.

You must be able to thrive in a fast paced environment and be willing to go that extra mile to enhance the learning culture for our staff.

The post-holder will work office hours across multiple Trust sites working in collaboration with staff, learners and partner organisations. You will also be supported to access relevant professional development opportunities.

Disclosure and Barring Service:

The Trust is committed to safeguarding adults and children therefore if the post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (as amended) the successful candidate(s) will be subject to a criminal records check with the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). The cost of the DBS must be met by the successful candidate(s) through salary deduction. DBS charges are as follows if applicable to the post:

Standard Check: £26 + Administration cost of £4.20 = deducted at £10.20 from 1st month salary and £10 deducted from salary over following 2 months.

Enhanced Check: £44 + administration cost of £4.20 = £15.20 deducted from 1st month salary and £11 deducted from salary over following 3 months.
