Main Duties:

  • Answering incoming telephone calls and directing to the appropriate person and greeting visitors to the office
  •  Managing general office and stationary stocks and ordering as required - Managing incoming and outgoing post
  • Undertaking data management and research projects
  • Support the NFU Group secretaries to organise meetings and events and to send out information and invites to members
  •  Assisting with the management of renewal paperwork and booking insurance review appointments
  •  Provide holiday cover to other members of the administration and service support team
  • To perform other duties requested by Agents or Line Manager
  • To become product licensed to enable career development within the agency

Required Skills:

  • Previous office or front desk experience
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills
  •  Ability to manage own workload
  •  Good IT skills especially Microsoft Office Outlook, Word and Excel
  •  Great communication skills and a good telephone manner
  •  Willingness to learn new skills
  •  Hard working and great team player
  •  Min. 6 GCSEs A-C (inc. English, Maths & Science)
  • Be able to problem solve and use own initiative whilst demonstrating attributes of honesty, integrity, due care, skill and diligence
  •  Desire to be the best

Desired Skills:

  • Previously experience in customer service / customer facing roles
  • Experience in use of Microsoft Dynamics and CRM systems


Relevant training will be provided (which may require additional travel and staying away from home in order to attend training courses). Option / potential to complete insurance based professional qualifications following apprenticeship (or further apprentice studies)

Working Hours:

Monday – Friday 09.00 – 17.00 Occasional weekends to support agency events
