What will the apprentice be doing?

You will contribute to improving the quality of privately rented housing within the borough, investigating reports of sub-standard housing conditions and poor management practices. Inspecting residential dwellings in accordance with the relevant legislation and undertaking a range of duties in relation to but not limited to privately rented properties that require intervention, securing improvements through negotiation or enforcement. Liaising with property owners/managers and regulators to resolve any issues of non-compliance.
This apprenticeship would suit someone with a background in Environmental Health, Housing, Surveying or Building Constriction - whilst some experience in one or more of these areas be desirable, full training will be provided.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

You will be given appropriate paid time off work, to work towards completion of the Regulatory Compliance Officer - Level 4 apprenticeship qualification.

PLEASE NOTE: You must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship in the same or similar subject.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

You will be given a fixed term contract allowing you sufficient time to complete your apprenticeship qualification, with the potential to secure a longer-term position to grow within the organisation.
