We have an exciting opportunity to join the Azzurri Central Finance Team as an Accounts Payable Apprentice. This role provides the perfect starting point to a proactive individual who is looking to start on the building blocks of their bright career in finance.

Here you'll get to:
  • Oversee invoices are correctly captured and timely approved through the accounts payable system Compleat
  • Identification and resolution of invoicing errors
  • Preparation of multi-currency payment runs
  • Reconciliation of supplier statements
  • Liaise with external suppliers and internal departments to resolve queries
  • Preparation and posting of monthly journals
  • Maintaining the accounts payable mailbox

Our apprenticeship programme aims to lead to a recognised accounting qualification (CIMA or ACCA) whilst earning a competitive salary over the course of 3 years. A comprehensive training package is provided by Kaplan including days off to attend classes & study days for exams. You will be encouraged and supported throughout your Apprenticeship with Azzurri by your line manager, learning mentor and colleagues who all want you to succeed in a long and fulfilling career within finance.

The ideal candidate for this role would need to be a team player due to the collaborative nature of the role that sits in the accounts payable team and the wider finance function.

Personal qualities

  • Strong task and time management and self-discipline, with the ability to work methodically, accurately, and within tight deadlines, whilst dealing with interruptions effectively
  • Good verbal/interpersonal skills: friendly, approachable, inquisitive; able to interact confidently with people across all levels of the business


Desired qualifications

  • 2:1 Achieved however, a Finance degree is non-essential or have completed level 3 & 4 apprenticeships in Finance or Accountancy
  • Grade B / 6 or above in GCSE maths and English or equivalent


Future prospects

Once the 3-year program is complete we hope the successful candidate will be promoted to a more senior member of the finance team within Azzurri.
