As a small but fast-growing dynamic company, this is a great opportunity to get regular exposure to the senior management and the founder, as well as working with highly experienced developers to learn from them and their significant experience. You will not only learn the role of QA, but also get to contribute to many other areas of the business and experience the excitement of a late stage start up as it flourishes.

Your duties and responsibilities in this role will consist of:
  • Become an invaluable member of the testing / quality / control department, developing the processes & strategy within the business; defining, creating & conducting vital testing of our ever-growing mobile platform
  • Working closely with the wider business, as well as the developers, you'll conduct thorough requirements analysis to ensure the functionality of our platform meets their needs
  • Working in an agile environment, you will define, code and action functional & integration rests to establish the effectiveness of the platform functionality, feeding results back to the developers team in a credible and organised manner
  • Create and code your own manual and automation processes & tools to make sure your tests are as efficient as possible
  • Be an active part in the Agile environment that our team of Developers work in, sharing your testing knowledge on existing and new functionality
  • Assist the business in other roles including user support, business analysis and environment configuration when required.
  • Be naturally methodical, analytical and precise with a focus on quality, not quantity
  • Provide 1st line support to customers, taking calls and logging issues
  • Offer assistance to the wider management team on day-to-day operational running of the business


Requirements and prospects

Desired skills

  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
  • Experience software design and development in a test-driven environment

  • Comfortable working on their own for periods
  • Be able to work to deadlines
  • Take responsibility and work under their own initiative
  • Excellent inter-personal manner is essential
  • Always adopting a clear, positive, friendly but decisive approach


Desired qualifications

5 GCSEs grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent (including English and maths).
