The Role:
  • Assisting the structural engineers with design solutions and support to ensure timely and quality project outcomes
  • Supporting technicians with production of engineering design information and drawings, including using computer software
  • Contributing to planning and review meetings
  • Learning on the job under supervision, with ability to develop the confidence to work independently
  • Attend and fully participate in company activities, presentations and workshops
  • Supporting the administration of projects, and general office duties
  • Taking responsibility for aspects of your training and ongoing development and for the collection of evidence in support of this

Desired qualifications

Maths, English Language and ICT GCSE grades 4 (A-C*) and above (or equivalent qualification) an existing Level 3 qualification in a related construction specialism apprenticeship would be advantageous and might reduce the overall duration, but would not essential.

Future prospects

  • Be keen to develop their own individual skills and to ensure they are fully engaged with their ongoing career and skills development
  • Potential opportunity for a permanent role within the company following successful completion of the apprenticeship
