  • Building relationships with existing and potential customers
  • Hitting the targets the team needs to achieve its goals
  • Generating new appointments for your colleagues in field sales as well as finding leads for the desk team
  • Qualifying potential customers from our data base (ACQ and BT) to establish their business and operational needs with the view to identify opportunity for the BTLB sales consultants
  • Positioning BT value propositions and solutions & accordingly identifying opportunities with targeted clients
  • "Landscaping" - recording key information that can be used later i.e. they are coming out of contract in 18 months
  • Using our CRM (Customer Relationship Management) Database
  • Reviewing clients accounts to work out the best solution for the customer
  • Learning from more experienced colleagues
  • Completing the development plan agreed


Requirements and prospects

Desired skills

  • Basic Computer skills (word, outlook, XL),
  • Very competent at maths
  • Great communication skills (Both writing and speaking)
  • Any science background will be beneficial

  • GCSE 9-4 or equivalent preferably


Future prospects

  • Successful candidates will be given a comprehensive coaching and training programme enabling them to become fully fledged sales Executive within the telecom sector. Full time position will be made available for candidates that successfully complete the 18 month programme and probation periods. There will be career progression all the way through to become a field sales consultant


Things to consider

  • The role will be in an office-based environment. Within the office this will involve a high-volume high volume of outbound dials (70 to 100 dials per day). You'll also need be required to use our digital platforms including Salesforce & SharePoint
