  • Provide administrative support and business resilience within the Aviation Security Compliance Business Support Team
  • Managing the directing of new air carriers through the drafting and distribution of legislative requirements
  • Managing and updating the industry contacts on a bespoke database
  • Monitoring of public enquiry inbox and responding to queries through collaboration with departmental SME's
  • Generic administrative tasks such as first point of contact for auditors, minute taking, action logs, distribution and collection of feedback forms
  • Assist with the scheduling of auditors with direction from the schedule controller through scheduling with the automated schedule tool and making any requested manual schedule amendments in line with time requirements, ensuring full implications of manual changes are understood and challenged when required
  • Contribute to the Cargo, Known Consignors and In- flight supplies administrative function
  • Assist the Compliance Testing Programme administration function including scheduling and planning of events, communication with internal and external stakeholders and travel booking
  • Assist the Regulation department where needed
  • The role will assist in the on-going development and maintenance of operating procedures in relation to business activity
  • Provide ad-hoc support as required to the wider business area

Desired skills

  • Technical level of understanding and interest into Aviation industry and the Regulatory environment that governs it
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills - must be able to communicate effectively and confidently
  • Good IT skills, specifically in Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Good attention to detail - must be able to produce numerical and written data accurately
  • Good planning and organisational skills with experience of working to deadlines
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills
  • Problem Solving - Ability to come up with solutions to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of tasks and other business processes
  • Ability to summarise written reports
  • The ability to work unsupervised using own initiative in reaching sound judgments with the ability to identify when escalation is required

Desired qualifications

  • GCSE 4/C or Functional Skills Level 2 or equivalent in Maths and English
