Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust has an exciting opportunity to join the Older Persons and Adult Community Mental Health Teams to begin a career in Team Administration, at a time when Mental Health is at the forefront of people's minds. Once you have completed the apprenticeship, you can look to develop and progress your career and this post offers a fantastic opportunity to gain the Level 3 Business and Administrator apprenticeship .

The Community Mental Health Teams (based at Oakley House, Poole, Fairmile House, Christchurch and The Purbeck Centre, Wareham) provide a full range of Community Mental Health Services for both older persons and adults in the surrounding areas covered by these teams. You will work under supervision as part of these teams to gain knowledge and experience in the delivery of high quality administrative support in completing your apprenticeship training.

The successful candidates will provide support within the Administration Teams for the seven teams based across these sites and will learn the administrative functions of how the mental health teams work to support patients in the community, dealing with a wide range of queries, liaising with peers, consultants, clinicians and outside agencies.

The successful candidates will have a passion for helping and supporting people and providing excellent customer service to a wide diversity of patients with mental health issues, their families, carers and the clinicians working within the teams. The candidate will have GSCE Maths and English or equivalent, have good communication skills, good organisational and IT skills as well as a commitment and enthusiasm to contribute to service improvement and development.

You are eligible to apply for this post if you are living in England and are not taking part in full-time education, you are 16 or over and do not hold a level 3 or higher qualification in the same area.
