0-19 Public health staff nurse/ midwifedevelopment post

A new, unique and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Public health Staff Nurse/ midwife Development post. Working within Locala's forward thinking, innovative 0-19 teams.

This professional development opportunity would suit those clinicians who demonstrate the capability and commitment to progress to be a Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (SCPHN) in 0-19 Health Visiting and School Nursing.

The post will involve a period of work based practice development in preparation to commence the current post-graduate SCPHN Programme or the post-graduate apprenticeship route (approval pending), in either Health Visiting or School Nursing. Successful applicants will then undertake the SCPHN education pathway/Apprenticeship in either September 2022 or September 2023, where they will be supported to achieve their programme outcomes by a Community Practice Teacher/Practice Assessor in their workplace. Following successful completion of the SCPHN course the post-holder will be awarded a band 6 post within Locala.

Dependant on each individual's needs, and service requirements there will be opportunities to complete either, Health Visiting, School Nursing or a0-19dual qualification.
