Are you a motivated individual who has good reading and numeracy skills and shows initiative? Do you have a flexible approach to your work, good communications skills and have the ability to work as part of a team?

It is a requirement of this role to complete a 12 month training programme undertaking the Level 2 certificate in Pharmacy Service skills (NVQ)(QCF) with underpinning knowledge through an intermediate apprenticeship framework. Training will be delivered on the job and 20% study time will be allocated off the job to complete the qualifications. This is initially a 12 month contract and will be made substantive on completion of training.

Applicants must be able to meet the requirement for basic skills Maths and English Level 1 or equivalent.

This Post will be based with the St. James' Pharmacy Stores and Distribution Team, but will involve working in the Pharmacy Stores and Distribution teams across ALL sites, including the Leeds General Infirmary and the Leeds Pharmaceutical Warehouse in Hunslet.

Please be aware that for all posts there is a significant amount of walking and moving and handling, including bulk consignments.

The primary role of the Pharmacy Stores & Distribution Team is to ensure timely and accurate assembly and delivery of stock medicines to wards, departments and our own Pharmacy areas across the Trust.

You will be involved in a variety of duties associated with this, including receipt, storage, dispatch, ward top-up, stock control and delivery of medicines.

Applicants must be able to meet the requirement for basic skills Maths and English Level 1 or equivalent.

The post holder will be required to work evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays on a rotational basis.
