This role will work flexibly across Bath and North East Somerset (B&NES) with a base to be agreed

In this role you will have the opportunity to lead and develop the B&NES 5-19 PHN (School Nursing) service in partnership with the wider Senior Leadership Team and our commissioners.

You will receive AfC Band 8A salary and terms and conditions including an NHS pension. We'll provide you with access to a committed Learning and Development team, and we work closely with Universities and Health Education England to further your potential and support your progression. With this role you could complete an accredited Leadership apprenticeship and we will offer a combination of in house E-Learning, workshops and courses to support your on-going development.

You will be a Registered SCPHN School Nurse with a range of clinical, service development, management and leadership experience.

As the Professional Lead you will provide clinical and managerial leadership for the B&NES 5-19 PHN service, ensuring that the service continues to deliver high quality care. You will work with the Head of Universal Services, other senior managers, clinical leaders and Local Authority commissioner partners to develop and improved health outcomes for Children and Young people across B&NES.

You will provide line management for the Clinical Team Leaders and support their on-going professional learning and development, encouraging colleagues to deliver best practice and to strive to makes services better.

You will lead on providing assurance of the quality of the service, developing service workforce and audit plans, leading on the development of clinical pathways, policies and procedures for the service and managing risk. You will work closely with service teams, the Head of Universal Services, the Care Effectiveness Clinical Lead and business unit and organisation wide committees to support this.

We have built organisation-wide committees in many specialist fields. You'll have the option to join your clinical specialism, networking with professionals from 0-19 PHN services across the country to strive to continuously improve the services we deliver. We get together regularly, auditing and sharing standard methodology for innovation and service re-design. You'll be a part of the pool of subject matter experts bringing together clinical and operational leads. You will be a part of quality improvements, research and development activity and we recognise and celebrate clinical excellence and dedication.
