Care Assistant

Salary: £18,562 - £18,933 pro rata

(£9.62 per hour)

Howbury House is 32 bed residential home for people who need care and support and are living with dementia. We are registered with the Care Quality Commission. We are increasing our staffing levels on a permanent basis and have various care assistants posts available. We are looking for enthusiastic, caring people to join our team to enhance the lives of our residents.

The successful applicant must have the ability to listen and communicate orally and in writing. The ability to work as part of a team but also be able to work on own initiative, be caring, compassionate and motivated. An understanding of the rights and needs of older people and the ability to treat people with dignity and respect and as individuals.

We are an established team of dedicated staff and are very proud of the work we do and are looking for caring people to share our commitment to provide the best care for our residents and share our passion and vision for the service we provide.

We have the following care assistant posts:

X1 = 21.75 hrs per week

X1 = 23.25 hrs per week

X2 = 20.25 hrs per week

X1 = 23.25 hrs per week

X1 = 27.75 hrs per week

X3 = 26.25 hrs per week

X1 = 24 hrs per week

X1 = 24.75hrs per week

X1 = 19.5hrs per week

All vacancies are based on a three-week rota basis including weekends and bank holiday working which are paid at an enhanced rate.

Howbury House also provides an excellent induction and training package to include the Care Certificate and different levels of apprenticeships. You will receive regular supervision and support.

In return, we expect you to be reliable and committed to the aims of the team.
