Theatre Surgery Division (WTWA)

We are excited to offer the opportunity to join Manchester Foundation Trust (MFT) as a Team Leader to assist in continuing to shape our strategy and Trust objectives. In light of these changes we are looking for a dynamic, innovative and highly motivated registered practitioner (Nurse or ODP) with excellent clinical knowledge in Anaesthetics and Recovery to join our team and take a leading role.

There are 5 theatre suites across Wythenshawe Trafford, Withington & Altrincham (WTWA) with a total of 27 operating theatres across the directorate providing a range of specialist surgery.

We are now looking to appoint a Team Leader covering Anaesthetics and Recovery primarily based in TDC . TDC caters for adult and paediatric inpatient and ambulatory day case patients undergoing procedures with general anaesthesia and regional block. The unit houses the North West regional Plastic Surgery specialty, and is a leading Hand Trauma Centre and is also the leading European hospital for tendon reconstruction. The department also provides Major Breast reconstruction and Ortho/Plastic services. Service and flexibility in shift patterns is expected and the post holder may also be asked to provide cover across the WTWA Theatre Directorate, including Withington and Trafford hospitals.
