Things to consider
The academic part of the training will be provided by the University of London (UEL) so you will be required to travel to London for study.
- The post-holder will work in a variety of clinical/healthcare settings, enabling them to develop and maintain relevant knowledge, skills and competencies in order to fulfil the requirements of the BSc (Hons) Podiatry programme.
- Work under the supervision of designated podiatrist in a variety of settings and geographical locations, and providing a high standard of Podiatric clinical care
- Provide appropriate assessment, treatment, evaluation of outcomes and education to patients, relatives and carers
- Participate in minor surgery
- Maintain accurate records of all patient consultations
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- Level 6 BSc (Hons) Podiatry Degree Apprenticeship
- Training provided by University of London; you will need access to a computer, camera and microphone (however equipment can be provided if required)
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
- This role is a great opportunity for sixth form / college leavers to study towards a degree and become a registered Podiatrist with the HCPC.
- On successful completion of the full Apprenticeship, the Apprentice will be guaranteed a Band 5 Podiatrist position within the Trust.
