What will the apprentice be doing?
  • The post-holder will work in a variety of clinical/healthcare settings, enabling them to develop and maintain relevant knowledge, skills and competencies in order to fulfil the requirements of the BSc (Hons) Podiatry programme.
  • Work under the supervision of designated podiatrist in a variety of settings and geographical locations, and providing a high standard of Podiatric clinical care
  • Provide appropriate assessment, treatment, evaluation of outcomes and education to patients, relatives and carers
  • Participate in minor surgery
  • Maintain accurate records of all patient consultations

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
  • Level 6 BSc (Hons) Podiatry Degree Apprenticeship
  • Training provided by University of London; you will need access to a computer, camera and microphone (however equipment can be provided if required)

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
  • This role is a great opportunity for sixth form / college leavers to study towards a degree and become a registered Podiatrist with the HCPC.
  • On successful completion of the full Apprenticeship, the Apprentice will be guaranteed a Band 5 Podiatrist position within the Trust.

The academic part of the training will be provided by the University of London (UEL) so you will be required to travel to London for study.
