Joining our Pricing department, you'll enjoy a combination of 'on and off the job training', consisting of a series of pricing placements and project activities designed to give you real breadth and depth of experience, core skills and professional qualifications, resulting in the achievement of a Data Analyst L4 apprenticeship.

The Role:

You will receive a thorough grounding across all aspects of insurance pricing - spanning our commercial, personal and motor business lines - with a focus on data analysis and manipulation to ensure effective pricing outcomes. Enjoying plenty of scope and variety, our aim is to give you a real breadth and depth of exposure, ensuring you are fully equipped to make the most of your future.

Job Specification:
  • To support the Pricing department as it delivers on its key objectives.
  • Running various data extractions, cleaning, checks and transformations to ensure the accuracy of our analysis.
  • Continually develop and contribute to the achievement of NFUM's objectives, through various pricing placements and the successful delivery of activities and projects, to achieve a breadth of knowledge, experience, core skills and professional qualifications.
  • Successfully complete all actions, training and assessments within the Apprentice programme in the relevant timescales (as detailed in the Data Analyst Apprenticeship Standard).
  • Run dashboards and reports to ensure availability to decision makers on a timely basis.
  • Extract, clean and process data to ensure that the analysis is accurate.
  • Deliver short term / one-off projects and activities as required by and to the standards and outcomes agreed with your Line Manager
  • Support the Pricing department in delivering on key objectives as defined by the relevant Pricing Team Manager.
  • Continually develop to achieve professional and personal skills to the requirements and standards of the Pricing apprentice scheme and assigned Pricing unit.
  • Successfully complete any other required/agreed professional qualifications within agreed timescales, demonstrating technical knowledge during placements.
