The Training & Development department has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, dedicated Training and Development Advisor. This post is ideal for somebody who would like to develop in a supported environment, whilst also being able to inform and shape the offer and delivery of the Training and Development Team.

The successful applicant will be responsible for co-ordinating the annual training needs analysis process and supporting the delivery of apprenticeships and funded continuous professional and workforce development activities, through building and maintaining strong internal relationships with Care Groups and Corporate managers as well as effective networks with local and national education providers and Health Education England.

The post holder will support the Training and Development Co-ordinators and Business Partner to deliver the workforce 'People Matter' strategy priorities and training plan by ensuring all staff are trained in line with Trust priorities as outlined in the annual TNA, as well as the on-going development of managers by supporting the delivery of management development programmes linked to talent management and associated processes.

Excellent organisation and communication skills and the ability to engage and role model the desired behaviours with energy, are key in this role to support the workforce and the ability to promote and introduce innovative ways of working under the current climate, enabling sustainable change and promoting the adoption of new ways of working.

37 hours per week

Shortlisted candidates will be asked to prepare a 15 minute interactive and engaging training session on a leadership subject of your choice (to be delivered via MS Teams).

Disclosure and Barring Service:

On 28 November 2020, the new Disclosure and Barring Service filtering rules will come into effect.

The changes mean that:
  • youth cautions, reprimands and final warnings will no longer be subject to automatic disclosure
  • the multiple conviction rule has been removed, meaning that if an individual has more than one conviction, regardless of offence type or time passed, each conviction will be considered against the remaining rules individually, rather than being automatically disclosed.
