An exciting opportunity has arisen to undertake a Level 2 Customer Service Practitioner or Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship within GP Surgeries employed by Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust. This course provides excellent opportunities for personal and professional development and real business experience from day one.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within a GP surgery in a friendly and supportive team. You will be part of a practice team providing reception, clerical and admin support.

Your exact duties will vary but you will need to show you can work with a team or member of staff to handle various tasks. You will also provide support to others in the team & this sort of work requires a sense of responsibility, accuracy and attention to detail.

Apprenticeships combine 80% on-the-job (workplace) and 20% off-the-job (learning provider) training; on-the-job learning is time spent at work, developing skills. Off-the-job is time spent with a trainer working towards a technical qualifications and key skills. All of the training will be carried out on site.

Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust have developed career pathways in a range of areas, all of which either start with an Apprenticeship or include Apprenticeship training as part of professional development. For those that are recruited into the organisation as an Apprentice, we have developed a recruitment and mentoring model that saw 83% of all apprentices in 2018 gain full time employment within our organisation before the end of their Apprenticeship.

All of our clinical posts (and certain others), are subject to DBS clearance prior to commencement.
