The Lead Practitioner in Adult Care will guide and inspire team members to make positive differences to someone's life when they are faced with physical, practical, social, emotional, psychological, or intellectual challenges.

They will have achieved a level of self-development to be recognised as a lead practitioner within the care team, contributing to, promoting, and sustaining a values-based culture at an operational level. A Lead Practitioner has a greater depth of knowledge and expertise of particular conditions being experienced by the user of services.

They will be a coach and mentor to others and will have a role in assessing performance and quality of care delivery.

Responsibilities will include:
  • To take part in the day to day running of the Residential home
  • Oversee the Care team to ensure that excellent care is provided - including undertaking observations and audits
  • Assist with Rota's and staff cover

You will be:

Requirements and prospects

Desired skills

  • 3 years (minimum) experience requiredand good knowledge ofthe care sector
  • Auditing skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Good numeracy skills
  • A good knowledge of CQC requirements and Care expectations.

  • Mature and confident approach
  • Confidence to deal with CQC, Social Workers and other Health professionals
  • Ability to manage and supervise
  • Ability to devise and implement appropriate monitoring systems
  • Highly motivated
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy with documentation
  • Ability to lead others
  • Have a commitment to Adult Care and first-class care for our Residents

Desired qualifications

GCSEs at grades A*-C/9-4 (or equivalent) in maths and English.

Level 3 Adult Care qualification (or equivalent).

Future prospects

The chance to gain a qualification and training from the Director of the company and progress to Leader in Adult Care (Level 5) for the right candidate.
