Duties will include:
  • As a Drawing office apprentice, you will develop design drawings in to full construction drawings
  • You will work within a friendly team within an office 4 days per week and attend College 1 day per week, gaining professional qualifications
  • Using Auto CAD and Inventor software you will create 2d and 3D working drawings of how to construct joinery and building interiors
  • You will learn site surveying
  • You will attend site or design meetings for the project you are working on

Enthusiastic, quick leaner with methodical inquisitive mind to develop a passion for turning client design briefs into reality. Working on some of the most exclusive properties in the UK.

You will also:
  • Develop an understanding of planning requirements and their impact on design
  • Recognise the properties and uses of construction materials
  • Explore the application of design principles and apply acquired knowledge to the design of a complex structure
  • Gain an understanding of groundwork's, substructure, superstructure and external works
  • Become aware of the hazards and risks commonly encountered in constructing the built environment
  • Explore the contribution the built environment makes to the physical, spiritual and emotional well-being as well as the economic prosperity of individuals and the community
  • Be introduced to facilities management and other support services
