You will have the opportunity to learn and assist in the production, implementation, and maintenance of project Quality Plans, to learn why and the benefits of producing project quality KPI's, to learn how to promote quality throughout the project community through briefings, training and auditing compliance to all project-related procedures and work instructions, to learn how to develop new processes and procedures where gaps are identified using Quality tools, to learn and assist in Quality Forums within the DTUP project community.

PrincipalResponsibilities:
  • Key Activities/Elements
  • To learn, support, produce and maintain
  • Project System Procedures and work instructions
  • Project Quality Objective programs (data collection and performance metrics)
  • Project Internal Audit Schedule for quality
  • Project Corrective Action reports - including investigations, reporting, toolbox talks etc.
  • Project-related RISQS Product Codes and Activities
  • Applicable client standards
  • Applicable British standards
  • Applicable internal standards
  • Quality and Design Management
  • To learn and support Internal Audits
  • Support/Conduct internal quality audits as per audit schedule
  • Learn and Support Produce key audit data as required for internal and external quality reports
  • To learn and Support the business as required with
  • Supplier Applications
  • Supplier Audits
  • Bid responses
  • Project plaudits and complaints
  • Manage the Document Control process for Quality
  • Workplace Quality Inductions
  • And any other reasonable request by your line manager which will assist or support the company


Requirements and prospects

Desired skills

Knowledge, SkillsandAbilities:
  • Education level and/or relevant experience(s)
  • Secondary school education with relevant qualifications
  • Strong command of the English language
  • Knowledge and skills

Candidate demonstrates:
  • Good knowledge and skill on Microsoft word and excel
  • A right-first-time approach
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Full current and clean UK car driving licence as travelling the UK and overnight stays will be required
  • Must be able to work nights when required
  • Personal Track Safety (experience preferred but training will be provided)
  • To comply with all company policies including Drugs and Alcohol


Personal qualities

  • Must be approachable and able to communicate with all levels of the business
  • Must be organised


Desired qualifications

  • 5 GCSE's or equivalent at 9-4/A*- C, including GCSE maths and English or equivalent
  • Full current and clean UK car driving licence as travelling the UK and overnight stays will be required


Future prospects

  • To be a quality Lead - Manager


Things to consider

The person is required to be flexible to accommodate site audits during the day or nighttime hours including the weekends, however, the standard working hours will be between 9 am and 5 pm. During covid-19 lockdowns working from home is acceptable but a full-time presence in the ADComms office in Coulsdon will be expected once restrictions are lifted.
