Customer Service Apprentice - MSK Physio based at St Marks Hospital Maidenhead.

This is an exciting opportunity for the right person to undertake an apprenticeship with a healthcare organisation which has an excellent CQC rating and reputation. Working within a friendly and supportive Admin team, you will be based at St Marks Hospital Maidenhead. The duration of this apprenticeship is 15 months.

To provide efficient and effective clerical/administrative support to the MSK Physiotherapy team in accordance with Trust policies and procedures. The role involves contact with patients both face to face and over the telephone, involving booking of Physio appointment and responding to queries. Ensuring Admin processes are followed to ensure that patient referrals are managed effectively from referral to discharge. Use of RIO - BHFT inhouse system, full training will be given.

To complete an apprenticeship, applicants must meet the Education Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) funding criteria. Eligibility will be checked as part of the pre-employment process. Examples of funding criteria include an indefinite right to remain in the UK, evidence of having resided in the UK for at least 3 years, the opportunity to undertake substantive new skills which are materially different from prior qualifications.

The apprentice will work the wider admin team to develop skills, knowledge and experience in all aspects of customer service and administration. Learning will be via self-directed on-line learning; work-based learning and support sessions with a Skills Coach/Trainer.

Learning will take occur within your working environment. You will be required to attend regular meetings with your supervisor and Skills Coach/Trainer.

About the Job
  • Developing Customer Service skills - speaking to patient both face to face and over the telephone.
  • Use of in-house system (RIO) to manage patient referrals and book Physiotherapy appointments
  • Generating and sending out appointment invite letters
  • Monitoring our generic email inbox and responding to queries
  • To maintain and update identified spreadsheets via data input and data extraction
