South Central Fleet Services Ltd (SCFS) are a wholly owned subsidiary of South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SCAS) . We provide a dedicated fleet management and maintenance solution to SCAS from our workshops in Nursling, Didcot and Eastleigh, specialising in not just ensuring the fleet is maintained to the highest standard but also in the maintenance of medical equipment for example stretchers, carry chairs. SCFS are also experts in converting and commissioning vehicles to blue light specification.

South Central Fleet Services Ltd, are looking for Fleet Engineers to join our team at our new modern workshop facility in Didcot maintaining vehicles on behalf of South Central Ambulance Service
This is an exciting time to join our team and to be an integral part of ensuring ambulances are available to support patients The workshop is open 7 days a week with shifts covering the working hours on a rotation basis
Our fleet engineers perform a vital and challenging role to support the ambulance service. This involves maintaining and repairing specialist vehicles and equipment to the highest standards while ensuring maximum levels of vehicle availability at all times. The role offers a unique opportunity to maintain a diverse range of vehicles and also ancillary equipment for example tail-lifts, stretchers, air lines and advanced electronic components.
The successful candidate will have served a recognized Motor Vehicle Indentured apprenticeship or completed an equivalent training scheme and obtained City and Guilds Motor Vehicle Craft studies parts 1, 2 & 3 or Motor Vehicle Technicians qualification or BTEC equivalents.
A full UK driving licence and a category C1 is desirable

Salary £27kpa plus shift payment
Holiday entitlement is 25 days per annum (based on full time hours) plus bank holidays
