What will the apprentice be doing?
Processing high volume transactions with speed, accuracy and attention to detail.Prepare, obtain approval and process journals.Ensure unallocated receipts / payments or credit /debit balances are reviewed and cleared in a timely manner.Manage shared mailboxes and other information received by post or any other method.Respond to queries quickly and effectively, ensuring 1st class service is delivered every time.Work as a team to deliver departmental Key Performance Indicators and targets. Delivery of core tasks as per the service level agreement and standard task time.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Associated Accounting Technician (AAT) Level 2-4 through our nominated training provider. The course typically takes 48 months to complete. Support and mentorship from the Finance team to develop your technical financial knowledge.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
After completing your apprenticeship you could take up a Finance Officer role within one of our many Finance teams.Potential to complete your Level 7 professional accounting qualifications to become a fully qualified accountant.

Things to consider
You will study for your AAT qualification and attend training provider sessions either remotely or on-site as deemed appropriate. 20% of your working week will be dedicated to learning. Your programme will include finance department rotations every 9 months, which will build your technical knowledge, introducing you to our many team members.
