Cardiff and Vale University Health Board (the UHB) is a Smoke Free Health Board. Smoking is banned across all of the UHB sites. Staff are therefore not able to smoke in the hospital grounds or on any other UHB premises .

PAYSCALE FOR THIS POST IS £7.76 PER HOUR - AS THIS IS AN APPRENTICESHIP POST


Cardiff & Vale University Health Board Apprenticeship Academy is excited to seek applications for a Primary Care Business Administration Apprentice. This is an exciting and unique opportunity to work across Primary Care settings, spending part of your time working with the UHB Primary Care Team and part time working in a GP Practice.

During the apprenticeship, as well as achieving a nationally recognised apprenticeship qualification, you will gain invaluable experience working within primary care where there will be further training and development opportunities.

Please note, there are three apprenticeship placements available in the following localities:
  • North and West Cardiff
  • South & East Cardiff
  • The Vale of Glamorgan

You must specify in your application your preferred locality, please be aware that this may not be guaranteed.

If you are 16 or over, not in full time education, and are motivated to learn about primary care services, then this is an excellent opportunity to take a step in the right direction.

Please note if you are already degree qualified you will be ineligible for the Welsh Government funding to access the qualification, therefore your application would not be moved forward in this instance.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
