Practice Nurse Education Facilitator - Band 8a

This is a unique opportunity to join the Suffolk and North East Essex Training Hub as it develops its role in supporting and developing the Primary Care workforce in Primary Care. There are two posts available and they are key to developing the clinical education and training team for nursing and allied health professionals working in Primary Care.

These post holders will have a passion for supporting students and will play a key role in developing and implementing Health Education East of England Quality Framework across Primary Care in Suffolk and North East Essex.

The postholders will work as part of the Suffolk and North East Essex Training Hub team which includes a Nurse Educator Lead and three Nurse Educators to develop and deliver the New To Practice Nursing programme, support and develop student placements at undergraduate and postgraduate level and lead on implementing nursing apprenticeships.

The postholder will support co-ordination, commissioning and quality management of the education and training provision in the local system including CPD.

As part of the wider Training Hub team you will work with the GP team and project team to support the education and training of the whole Primary Care workforce and explore opportunities to work collaboratively locally and regionally.

The post is working in the local system but there is an expectation that you will work as part of the wider Health Education East of England regional and national nursing team to share good practice and identify opportunities to work collaboratively.

This is a fixed term contract for 2 years.
