Graduate/Trainee Planning Officer
A range of exciting opportunities are available to join our expanding Planning Team.
This is a full time open-ended position, 37 hours a week based in Pembrokeshire (applications for part-time roles will be considered).
Based in the beautiful county of Pembrokeshire, adjacent to the world famous Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. The positions are based in our Development Management team.
For the Trainee role a degree or equivalent qualification in a Planning related subject such as Geography, Architecture, Land Management etc. or previous experience working within the planning industry is a requirement.
The Trainee Planning Officer post offers a programme of structured workplace training with the potential for external learning (funded by PCC) in order for the post holder to obtain a post-graduate qualification in Planning (and work towards obtaining chartered membership of the RTPI).
The post holder will train in the skills required to become a Planning Officer with the necessary supervision and mentoring provided. The role will initially involve assisting with the processing of planning applications and delivery of other planning services with progression to managing a limited caseload of planning applications.
