About the company:

Several of the UK's leading Architectural Practices and Residential Developers in the Housebuilding industry are keen to expand their teams with Architectural Technology Graduates.

The Residential Development industry is one of the busiest where the process of transforming an empty piece of land in a new, modern and thriving community is a long and complex one involving a variety of people in different roles. Before the process has even started companies have to work with Architects, Planners and Engineers to design and then work is ongoing with existing communities and local authorities to make sure the new homes sit in harmony with those already there.

About the opportunity:

As a Graduate in Architectural Technology there are several routes you can down include working for an Architectural Practice or In-House Design team with a developer responsible for producing working drawings, or into an Assistant Technical Coordination position directly with a developer or main contractor where you will coordinate the external consultants.

For a Housing developer the Technical department acts as a primary focus where they provide technical involvement in the pre purchase site evaluations; preparation and submission of planning applications; provide architectural and engineering designs and an involvement in projects right through to final completions.

As a Technical Coordinator you will be checking drawings; assist in answering queries from the site team; attend design team meetings; assisting with the production of layouts and technical reports and assisting with the appointment and management of external consultants.

As an Architectural Technician either within an Architectural Practice or In-House Design team you will be responsible for the Architectural design from concept to completion producing technical drawings using AutoCAD; coordinating with the design team; attending and chairing design team meetings to ensure the production of technical information is progressing and liaising with subcontractors.

About the benefits and rewards:

In general, salaries will take into consideration a number of factors including market practice, the individuals experience and responsibilities and pay structures within the company. Salaries will be set at a mutually agreeable level with set parameters to increase in line with performance. In this instance average market rates for Graduates is between GBP18,000 - GBP25,000 basic salaries plus benefits packages.

You must be degree qualified in Architectural Technology or similar. These leading construction companies are looking for dynamic and bright professionals who are very driven and keen to progress.
