About the apprenticeship

Duties

Daily menu meeting and assigning of tasks
Preparing MEP for dishes; meat, fish, veg and desserts
Keeping section clean and hygienic at all times
Preparing starters and desserts in service
Stock rotation, HASAP training
We prepare everything from scratch, so learn a lot of skills

Additional information

We always want chefs as part of our team who will be with us for a long time and will grow within our company. There is potential to move around our other businesses, another pub and a bakery, to gain more experience.

Requirements

Skills

We need someone enthusiastic, hardworking and eager to learn. Our chefs prepare everything from scratch, so you will be adept at learning and remembering new skills, and happy working in a high pressured environment. The menu changes daily, so you will need to be able to keep up with the regular changes. A love of good food is a bonus. You will be preparing, and then making in service, starters and desserts, including all fish, meat and veg prep. We also make all of our own breads etc. You will be taught how to do all of these things, but you need the basic skills and the memory to take them all on.

Qualifications

None specific. We appreciate knowledge of food preparation, knife skills etc.
