About the apprenticeship


to assist in the organisation and supervision of administration systems and be responsible for reception duties within the school.
• Apprentices are required to achieve the agreed level of qualification within 1 year.
• To provide general administrative support including word processing and data processing, dealing with telephone and email enquiries, collection and delivering mail.
• To act as primary receptionist for all visitors and callers to school.
• To assist in the management of administrative procedures and ensure strictest confidentiality when dealing with every aspect of School administration.
• To assist in the management of completion and submission of forms, returns, etc. including those to outside agencies e.g. lunch return forms.
• To assist in some of the secretarial duties for the Headteacher and other members of the senior management team.
• To participate in training and learning activities and performance development as required.
• Be willing to undertake further development and training as deemed appropriate to the role.
• To perform any other duties that may be required from time to time as general office administration.

IT literate and familiar with Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and use of the Internet

• Effective communication skills both verbal and written


Minimum of 5 GCSEs, including Maths & English grade A* to C or equivalent
