What will the apprentice be doing?
The key focus of this position is QC testing and undertaking of relevant supporting processes. The role also includes short term project work, general laboratory up-keep, and assisting other members of the Technical Department on an as needed basis. Flexibility and a willingness to undertake a wide range of tasks whilst adhering to The Christeyns Way is essential.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
The apprentice will study to achieve a BSc (Honours) Chemistry degree over a 4 year period. The course will be conducted through distanced learning, with attendance at summer school to learn chemistry practical skills.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Once qualified, the expected progression would be into the role of Quality Control Technician.
