Some of the duties include:
  • Maintain Bookkeeping
  • Prepare VAT Returns
  • Process Payroll & file RTI submissions
  • Preparation of Annual Accounts
  • Preparation of Corporation Tax returns
  • Prepare CIS Returns
  • Prepare and send e-mails to clients requesting information
  • Liaise with clients' suppliers and customers

Requirements and prospects

Desired skills

  • Totally comfortable in a digital/cloud-based environment
  • Grasp of the fundamentals of accounting and book-keeping

Personal qualities

  • Strong Soft skills i.e. good commination skills, good teamworking skills, excellent attention to detail etc.
  • An empathetic individual
  • Comfortable working by themselves but as part of a larger supportive team

Desired qualifications

  • Part/Fully Qualified Level 4 AAT

  • A Degree in a relevant subject i.e. Accounting and Finance, Maths, Economics, Business etc.

Future prospects

  • Once you have completed the Level 7 Apprenticeship & qualified as a Chartered Accountant with ACCA, then progress from Client Support Team to Portfolio Holder looking after your own clients, after three-year post qualification experience, needed for a Practice License, then move on to Director of your own regional office and with our continued support build your own Client Support Team and client portfolio

Things to consider

  • HV's policy for annual leave - Team members should take the amount of time off work they need to be able to properly perform their tasks when they are at work, there are no limitations for holiday per annum as long as your team can continue to function and complete tasks as needed
