Additional information

The Purpose of this Role:-

Essentially this role will learn how to support the council's future direction in a digital world, applying new technologies to work processes. You will help the team to manage digital projects, identify the need for digital systems, teach people how to use the O365 products and manage their data and information. It will be a role where you can use your skills to support people and help them work more efficiently.

You will be learning by ‘doing' - undertaking real practical tasks that need to be done to support our overall digital vision, which will be guided by the Digital Design & Innovation roadmap.

You will gain valuable knowledge of digitisation that can be applied to other organisations and into your wider working career. At the same time, Monmouthshire will benefit from the practical work that you do and the fresh ideas that you can bring.

Applicants should be able to demonstrate that they are conversant with higher level computer packages as well as the general Microsoft packages and that they are able to communicate effectively with others.

Whilst formal qualifications are important to ensure you have good literacy and numeracy skills we would prefer a practical demonstration of how you apply your education qualifications in a workplace.
