Sheffield is a Foundation Trust economy serving a diverse population of 580,000 people. NHS Sheffield Clinical Commissioning Group is a membership organisation comprising 79 GP practices and expects to have a commissioning budget (including primary care co-commissioning funds) of circa £900m making it one of the largest CCGs in the country. Established in 2013, this is an exciting opportunity to join our organisation as we work on our ambitious service transformation programme in order to support improvements for patients, addressing health inequalities, working with key stakeholders in developing effective partnerships and commissioning integrated clinical change across health and social care.

NHS Sheffield CCG is part of the Sheffield Accountable Care Partnership which brings together seven partners in the city across the NHS, local government and the voluntary sector and is at the forefront of policy and strategic development on integrated care. Sheffield is also the largest of five places within the South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw Integrated Care System, one of ten first-wave ICSs identified nationally to develop the blueprint for system working across health and care.

A forward looking, innovative and member driven organisation, we are rightly proud of our achievements to date. We have five key aims:
  • To improve patient experience and access to care
  • To improve the quality and equality of healthcare in Sheffield
  • To work with our partners to continue to reduce health inequalities in Sheffield
  • To ensure there is a sustainable, affordable healthcare system in Sheffield
  • Organisational development to ensure we meet organisational health and capability requirements
