It's an exciting time at Bruntwood where we are looking to bring on 3x passionate Finance Apprentices to learn all things finance and grow with the business.
A bit about us:
Bruntwood own, develop, manage and maintain properties across the Northwest. Our focus is on 'Creating Thriving Cities' which is evident across our website, so have a look to gain more of a perspective on what we do, and how we operate. Our buildings range from collaborative/modern office space, lively retail spaces (Afflecks Palace, Hatch), right through to innovative Science & Technology space.

The role and what to expect:
You'll rotate around the different areas of transactional finance which will include: Credit Control, Billing, Cash, Accounts Payable & Finance support, you will gain experience across these teams in dealing with daily and regular transactional finance tasks. Your day to day role will typically include:
* Understanding our billing process and raising & checking customer bills
* Resolving queries connected to customer billing
* Chasing customers for payments and resolving any payment issues
* Processing supplier invoices & chasing business approvers
* Completing statement reconciliations
* Posting cash and reconciling bank statements
* Clearing cash from our suspense accounts and posting to the correct customer, supplier or GL account.
* Processing ad-hoc payment requests
* Supporting external & internal customers on finance queries with our finance support team within our agreed service level agreements.
* Assisting with month end and quarter end finance activity.
* Running financial reports and manipulating data in excel
* General office administration eg opening post, filing & scanning documents
* Ad-hoc duties across any team to cover for busy periods as they arise
You'll need to have your GCSEs or equivalent at grade C/grade 4 or above in English and Maths (this is a requirement for study, if you can't provide evidence of your qualification you should still apply and let us know at the interview stage)

Monday 6th September - Start date for the successful applicants!
