After suitable training the apprentice will be responsible for -
  • Ensuring all machines/assets are functioning as required
  • Performing repair and maintenance in both mechanical and electrical functions
  • Ensuring machines meet health and safety requirements
  • Ensuring Safe practices
  • Responsibility for integration of electrical systems/devices

The Electromechanical Engineer will be responsible for ensuring all equipment is maintained and operational at all times. They will have the ability to fault find and diagnose both electrical and mechanical faults and perform the required maintenance/repair to ensure the equipment is back in working order. The Engineering Apprentice will ensure all machines meet standard safety requirements and advise of upgrades where not.
An important part of Parafix's development, the apprentice will have the ability to integrate various systems with current machinery including cameras, sensors and other equipment. The ability to program PLCs will be gained through the course and aid in helping Parafix move into industry 4.0.
Working closely with manufacturing the apprentice will have a vast knowledge of all manufacturing processes and assist in identifying skills areas and advise of advancements and upgrades available. They will be responsible for the safe install and transportation of any equipment required for repair or replacement.
