Looking for a new challenge and to widen your horizon? We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team of Band 8A surgical pharmacists. You will lead a number of medicine/trust-wide initiatives relating to quality of care as well as providing specialist support to surgical wards and specialities.

HUTH Pharmacy Team provide a supportive environment for professional development with a range of experienced and specialist senior pharmacists. You will be expected to provide a clinical pharmacy service to specialist surgical wards and offer advice to medical, nursing, other healthcare staff and patients on all aspects of the safe & effective use of medicines. This includes facilitating reconciliation, discharge planning and patient counselling, supporting clinical trials process and the safe introduction of electronic prescribing systems. The pharmacy team has a wide range of qualified staff including technicians who will assist you in your day-to-day role, as well as assistants and apprentices who provide additional support to wards and patients.

The Pharmacy team is both ambitious and motivated, focusing our work around the best interests of our patients and continually striving to improve the services we offer. The Trust is keen to support professional development of the entire pharmacy workforce and you will be expected to support, motivate and engage with others.

You must be a registered pharmacist with the GPhC, hold a post-graduate diploma or equivalent, and be able to demonstrate evidence of your Continued Professional Development (CPD). The post requires weekend and bank holiday working, and includes participation in the on call service.
