About the apprenticeship

Duties

Post Responsibilities:

The primary responsibility of the IT Support Apprentice is to administer the service desk on a day-to-day basis and to provide 1st line support to our in-house employees, ensuring that they receive exemplary experience in a timely manner. To achieve this, it is important that the individual is confident, has strong interpersonal skills, and has the appropriate awareness of the ServiceDesk to identify and escalate any issues to the IT Technicians.

We are a small team and have a wide-array of technologies and services that we provide. As such the eagerness to do what is needed, and the initiative to take on work when quiet to assist colleagues across the Company Support department is highly desired.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Daily administration of the Service Desk, ensuring all service requests are logged and resolved promptly or escalated as required
• Providing 1st line support for hardware and software related problems/incidents
• Assisting with the procurement, installation, configuration, maintenance, licensing and auditing of company hardware and software as required
• Provide support to various IT Projects as required

Additional information

Experience in a customer facing role is desired.

The successful candidate should have a working knowledge of some or all the following technologies:

• Windows 10
• Office 365
o Pro Plus
o Teams
o OneDrive
o SharePoint Online
o Stream
• Kaspersky Endpoint Security
• iPhones

Hours of Work: 08:00 - 16:30, 09:00 - 17:30 or 09:30 - 18:00, Monday to Friday, with a 30-minute lunch break (40 hours per week)

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 GCSE's (grade A*-C) including Maths and English.
