We are looking for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to work in the Rehabilitation at Home Service, covering a member of the team on secondment who is on secondment for 12 months.

We are a team of occupational therapists, physiotherapists and technical instructors who see people across the Wirral who are best treated in their own homes, the work is varied and interesting and no two days are ever the same. You will provide holistic assessments, work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team and be able to follow up patients to enable them to reach their rehabilitation potential.

This is a great development opportunity for an experienced Band 5 or 6 Occupational Therapist who is interested in gaining experience, or wondering what it is like, working in the community.

You will:
  • Demonstrate a broad range of post graduate experience
  • Have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Possess sufficient knowledge and skills to manage a complex caseload
  • Be able to work under pressure and manage an unpredictable caseload
  • Be hard working and enthusiastic

We are a friendly team who are patient-centred and value our staff. You will be well supported by more experienced therapists and via our robust supervision, training and appraisal structure.

Current HCPC registration with the relevant therapy qualification is essential to this post. The role involves visiting people at home so access to a car for work purposes is essential. Appointment to the post will be subject to successful interview, references, DBS clearance and Occupational Health checks.
