The job

The role of a Penrose Health Lead GP is to work with our whole team to deliver the best healthcare to our patients.

More specifically, Salaried GPs will be responsible for
  • Providing leadership of clinical services within the practice
  • Leading Clinical Governance at the practice to ensure patient care is of a high standard
  • Working closely with the Central Management Team to ensure the practice runs efficiently and effectively
  • Continued work under the normal clinical GP role

This is an excellent opportunity for an established GP to step up into a leadership role and develop management skills both of people and of the clinical aspects of a GP practice.

We're a leading group of practices within South-East London and we pride ourselves on innovating and improving care. Our Central Management Team has a broad range and depth of experience and we'll be able to support you to develop into a Lead within the group.

Details

Location:Lewisham Medical Centre, SE13 5PJ or Kingfisher Medical Centre, SE8 5DA
Hours:Ideally looking for 6 - 8 sessions. Although specific time will be allocated to allow this role to be executed, we would expect the duties of the role to be discharged across the breadth of hours worked.
Salary:Up to £12,000 equivalent per session (see below for details)

What do you need?

  • Experienced GP with>2 years post-qualification
  • Leadership skills- able to lead, manage, organise and motivate the team
  • Best-in-classinterpersonal and communication skills
  • Efficient and effective workerwho understands the business
  • Flexible and a good team workerto enable the best outcomes
  • Organisedand able to maintain a balance between speed and accuracy
  • High levels ofclinical effectiveness- experience with AHPs desirable
  • Passionateabout delivering the highest quality of care to our patients
  • GMC registered with a licence to practice + on the performers list
  • Comfortable with EMIS and clinical tools including T-Quest, Pathlinks etc.

About us

We're a small group of close-knit surgeries in South East London on a mission to deliver the best healthcare to our patients. We use a multidisciplinary approach - bringing together GPs, Nurses, HCAs, Pharmacists, Paramedics, Mental Health Nurses and our non-clinical team to deliver an efficient and effective service with best in class outcomes for patients.

With high levels of patient satisfaction (> 4* on Google at all our sites) and low waiting times, we've been able to grow to over 50,000 patients and we continue to grow at a rapid pace.

We serve our patients across 7 CQC 'Good' rated sites in Lambeth, Southwark and Lewisham, with each site having its own dedicated multidisciplinary team. You'll join one of these site-based teams but you'll be part of the larger Penrose Health family as well!
